This is just me venting. Feel free to ignore. Scroll past of you don’t want to see that, but honestly this isn’t helping us.
A lot of people on this social media, and I don’t know if it’s just some people on my dash but whatever. An important amount of non straight people on Tumblr are suffuring from heterophobia. Suffering because honestly this much bitterness or hate or whatever you want to call it is a disease. You hurt yourself by hating others. It’s just a fact. People are happier when they show kindness. It’s satisfying. It’s aslo chemical. Tangible. Anyway.
Now, I know in theory, homophobic people or people who don’t accept persons from the LGBT community, or anyone that isn’t straight. Are. Straight. Obviously. But that doesn’t mean every straight is homophobic, nor every straight is “clumsy” (to say the least) with the topic. This is a syllogism. We have a very accurate example that explains it : “Every cat is mortal. Socrate was mortal. So Socrate was a cat.”
It. Doesn’t. Work. Like. This.
It is not only illogical but also an insult to the very nature of the human being.
Difference is what makes us such a good species, right ? It’s because there is so much differences in our genetic patrimony and therefore in our immune systems, that we are able to survive as a species against viruses for example. Difference is something a whole bunch of people claim as their pride. So accept that not all straight are morrons.
A lot of people have disgust when they see me with another woman. A lot of people in my family consider this as momentary fantasy. “ It will pass. It isn’t natural. ”
But there are also a lot of people who don’t give a shit about it. They didn’t change when they noticed. They’re just normal. Like they always were.
Do you think a “revenge” against straight people is going to help anyone ? Hating straight people is as much of a waste of time as hating gay is. Don’t bother. You’re just annoying. Find a better occupation. Like painting or playing tennis or whatever.
