I’m posting this in the hopes that it will reach more people before tumblr goes under. Creators who can’t even use Patreon, who can’t use dA, FA, InkBunny, etc. Whether it be because of (fictional) content they create or consume.
First, mastodon has the ability to mute and block users. It is very Twitter-like in the way that it works. It has a way for you to block tags.
There are many instances of Mastodon! If this one does not suit you, I encourage you to find one more to your style!

Again. You can blacklist tags! So if you don’t want to see some of that content– and I understand– you can get rid of it and block those who don’t tag it!
As a creator myself, this is fantastic. I don’t create all of this content, and have blocked many tags that squick or trigger me, but overall I’m just glad to have a place like AO3 for art.
