Leave people ALONE

I have to reblog this bc its important

Very important.

Another thing that the funamusea fandom needs to know

shipping-isnt-morality:

did antis just…… never have a crush on a teacher. do they think teens having crushes on teachers or other adults is somehow new or unhealthy

bc I’ve seen some stuff today abt like “adults manipulating teens into falling for adults” and like no….. that’s…… normal.

The adult reciprocating those feelings isn’t normal and is predatory, but kids getting crushes on teachers happens all the damn time. I actually thought it was an almost universal experience. Everyone calm down.

Wow, i just remembered had a crush on my Geography teacher on 8th Grade. He was such a stud.

I know the subject is a bit done but on the pedo/age gap material: I’m a childcare provider and I have taken care of over 500 children from 2yo to 11yo in two years. I also consume shotacon. Children in shota and irl children are completely different and I can’t possibly compare them. I just can’t. When I look at my kiddos I see human beings I must protect, when I look at shota characters I see fake characters with whom I don’t care what happens. In other words even consuming smth so (+)

shipping-isnt-morality:

(+) vile I can separate real life from fictional content. I’m not saying everyone can definitely do that, but that antis should stop with their ignorant argument that the media you consume is inherently connected to your irl tastes or interests. I will draw shota eroguro to my heart’s content, but I will also do anything in my power and then some to protect the children in my care and make sure they are safe, happy an healthy. Because they are, you know, real.

I am cleaning out my inbox and realizing that THIS is the ask that started my train of thought about my very similar experience

seriously, I know exactly how this feels. The way I felt for my students, or feel for my little cousins or my godson, just cannot be compared to how I feel about fictional children. it’s not a small or insignificant difference.

FUCKIN THIS.

game devs could literally not use any famous actors in they shit and just go for talented veteran voice actors that can usually turn in a better vocal performance anyway and shave off millions from their budget they could use to improve the game and just

cut down the marketing a tiny little bit on the publisher’s part to save some money

so many huge devs and publishers have gone arrogant and are spending money all willy nilly on stupid crap rather than improving their games

As so many people have pointed out, ‘They could always just stop trying for the highest end of graphics and instead go for a set character style, which would save them a shitton of money on development and make for an iconic style to the game. Instead they spend money they don’t need to and then complain about the costs.’

golly gee you know what’s also crazy about that?

stylized games generally hold up far better than “attempted photorealism” games.

One of the best examples regarding the discussion of Art style > Technically better graphics is Wind Waker.

I mean, fuck. Look at this. This game is 15 years old already and looks so much better than a lot of modern stuff.

To further add to this:

Jet Set Radio

And Madworld.

Let me add this:

The original ps2 version of Okami

I feel like the projected need for hyper expensive photorealistic graphics is one of the biggest detriments of the modern gaming industry. A lot of publishers seem to have become absolutely terrified of anything experimenting with style and art design.

THIS

OMG JET SET RADIO

This is important

Hey, guys. This is a message from your servant Dulce.

Given
that what happened with Hydra is now becoming an attack without reason
towards other tumblr artists of the funamusea fandom (including an
acquaintance who decided to do a hiatus for fear of being reported or
attacked) I would like to warn you that in case of that magically those idiots manage to make that they close my account … Don’t believe that they killed me.

If
that happens, wait a little longer and you will see that I will come
back with another account and I will re-raise everything. It has already happened to me with a Facebook page, I can do it again with a Tumblr account.

They don’t scare me, they are just annoying and unfortunately it does
not depend on me if their complaints make my account fall.

Don’t get scared! I would not surrender so easily.

First of all you already know that the links of my DeviantArt, my Tumblr, Wattpad and Fanfiction are in my profile.

I’m getting ahead of myself, as both me and other artists are already
being attacked by the same anonymous, socially-minded people who
attacked Hydra (probably) and that may get worse in a while.

Thank you very much for your support, I love you

Hey, chicos.

No me rendiría tan fácilmente.

Please be safe!

This might make you hate me deeply, but i don’t see what’s so wrong with incest (both in fiction and irl). If is there two consenting adults, let them love! I know it’s a little weird, but still! Inbreeding is a whole another case for me though. Please forgive me.

That’s a valid opinion!!

Honestly I feel like it’s just an entirely separate issue from shipping. It’s a situation where exploitation is both likely and difficult to detect, and so the benefit of having it be legal/acceptable is way lower than the potential harm. (Boss/employee and student/teacher relationships are kind of in a similar position, I feel: sure, one in a million might be healthy, but it just makes everyone safer to have it be illegal/socially unacceptable.)

There’s a reddit thread somewhere about a sister and brother who had a consensual incestuous relationship for quite a while as teens. It’s an interesting read, but it’s hardly going to keep me from condemning incest when I hear of it. The potential harm is just way higher than the potential benefit.

I half-agree and half-disagree.

I think why boss/employee relationships tend to have rules against them in various companies, and teacher/student relationships banned by many universities and/or made illegal in certain places, is because of the power imbalance and the strict difficulty in being unable to disprove abuse. You don’t know if Joe’s been threatened with being fired or failure, you just don’t.

Now, in some forms of incestual relationships, you come across the same issue, and I think the most obvious examples would be parent/child or grandparent/child, because usually these are the people we live with or depend on financially or who continue to have some control over us.

A few countries have actually legalised aunt/uncle with niece/nephew relationships, or sibling relationships, and I think generally these tend to have far less room for potential abuse, especially sibling relationships. Sure, some sibling relationships have room to be abusive, but you could say the exact same thing about regular friendships or roommates or colleagues. It’s the same equality.

It’s why I think we need to legalise most forms of incest.

Well, between over-eighteens. I would say “the age of consent”, but my country actually heightens the age of consent when one person is in a position of trust, and I think – with it being such a controversial issue – eighteen would be better in terms of playing it safe and making sure no trust has been abused. If I can fuck my doctor or professor or local police-officer -? Is my brother really that much more controversial in the scheme of things? Why is one worse than another?

We need to take things case-by-case.

Plus, outright condemnation only pushes people into further secrecy, which we’ve all seen with the MAP discourse, so the few people who do want help or could be abused (or the abuser) will not seek for help or ask for help, as they’ll end up too ashamed or too afraid of being judged. I think we owe it to people not to condemn them, but instead do what we do for MAP discourse: raise awareness, discuss pros and cons, and educate people on warning signs.

Now, I know the difference here is that MAPs cannot act on their attraction, so there isn’t a direct equivalency here, as we’re talking about actual relationships in regards to incest, but I do think the lack of condemnation to be important in both, because it’s what allows for understanding, awareness, and education.

The idea of going by potential harm worries me.

It’s why we have a system of “innocent until proven guilty” and not “guilty until proven innocent”. I think we should allow all behaviours, only condemning those with proven harm (like keeping it illegal to engage with intercourse with animals or children), and only condemning those who abuse the law in some way. I mean, if I’m in a same-sex relationship and abused, is the problem being with an abusive partner or being in a same-sex relationship?

You made my day.

This might make you hate me deeply, but i don’t see what’s so wrong with incest (both in fiction and irl). If is there two consenting adults, let them love! I know it’s a little weird, but still! Inbreeding is a whole another case for me though. Please forgive me.

Why Japanese is EASY

wakaranaikotoba:

A lot of people want to study Japanese but think it’s too hard and that they will never succeed. That is really a myth, though. Here is why Japanese is actually easy.

1. All verbs are regular, there are only 2 exceptions

If you know French, this must sound like a dream to you. In other languages [like French] there seem to be more irregular verbs than regular ones. Not in Japanese, though. There are 3 groups of verbs, the first 2 being regular and very easy to conjugate. The third group consists of only 2 irregular verbs!

2. Easy pronunciation

Japanese doesn’t have any exceptionally hard to pronounce letters. Unlike Arabic, German or Finnish, Japanese should be quite easy to pronounce for English speakers. Also, Japanese isn’t a tonal language like Thai or Chinese.

3. No genders, plural or articles

Anyone who studies a romance language [and many other languages that have that] knows how frustrating it can be when you use the wrong article or verb ending. In Japanese, it doesn’t even exist, so nothing to worry!

4. Grammar is easy!

That’s true. It’s just completely different from English, but that doesn’t make it hard. After a while, it will feel completely normal. The best part about the grammar is that you can build a whole sentence with just one word. For example, if you wanted to ask somebody in English if they did their homework, you’d say ‘did you do your homework?’ Kind of long, isn’t it? In Japanese, you can ask by using only the verb ‘to do, can, be able to’ – like this: ‘done?’ Also, spoken, you can drop many words if you don’t really need them, especially particles! So if you’re not sure what particle to use, chances are you can just easily leave it altogether without the sentence losing its meaning. It’s easy to build sentences that seem to end in ‘…’, but that’s completely normal in Japanese and everyone will understand.

5. Tons of resources

Sadly, there are some languages people don’t really care about or not a lot of people want to study/ are interested in. Japanese is not one of those languages. There are hundreds of books about Kanji alone! And so many courses for every level. Also, it doesn’t matter what you’re interested in – anime, manga, books, movies, game show, video games, dramas, music – it’s all out there and super easy to find, so you definitely will find something you can listen to or read to practice your skills.

6. Kanji/the writing systems are hard?

No. They aren’t. It’s just a huge workload, it takes time and effort, but they are not hard.

At first, having to learn 3 writing systems will seem exhausting. But believe me, later, when you start reading, you will be so glad! You can detect if a text has a lot of foreign words at one glance if it has a lot of Katakana, for example, and you could say a lot more on twitter because of the syllabaries!

So actually, the 3 systems put together makes everything easier to read!

So please, just start studying and go at your own pace, and have fun studying every day ⭐︎
