this one is better
This is based on what i’ve read in these four posts here (All these four posts englobe the same theory but each other, including this one, has few but important additions to understand my theory here, and the last one is in another language, Brazilian Portugese, so if you don’t understand this language, try to use an online translator, and yeah, i’m brazilian).
Do you know about the 5 Stages of Loss? Also known as Kübler-Ross model or simply DABDA, it postulates a series of emotions that is experienced by traumatic or shocking moments, like losing a loved one, or having a terminal ill prior to death. The DABDA is an abreviation for the stages: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. Read more about the DABDA here.
Assuming that you read all the four posts that i mentioned in the beggining and you know about the DABDA, let’s start our theory!
So, all the stages will happen surrouding Etihw, in this order: Denial –> Bargaining –> Anger –> Depression –> Acceptance
Denial: as you may read the blog posts i mentioned, Kcalb hated Silhouette, and wanted to get rid of her. So, he threatened the girl, along with Crow, and Etihw didn’t know what was happening, so whenever her daughter was sad and/or crying, she (Etihw) didn’t want to believe that she was being threatened, so this is the first stage of Etihw’s DABDA.
Bargaining: One thing that none of the blog posts mention is that Etihw after realizing that Silhouette is dead, she stares at the shattered black stones (since the kid uses black stones as accessories in her head), but she still believes that there is hope, going back in time.
But, it was too late. Silhouette’s spirit turned into a vengeful, malign one, and she wanted her parents back, cursing their fate…
Anger & Depression: Turning time back wasn’t enough, all the previous events happened again, Etihw realizes this and gets frustrated and angry. But, she was willing to know what was threatening Silhouette’s life. Then, when she searched for the daughter, she realizes that the sword on the tree is gone, and then she witnessed Kcalb killing Silhouette with THAT sword (nice place to hide a sword, eh? In a dead tree…). That’s probably why Deep-Sea Prisoner stated that the sword on the tree in the peace era (i mean, in the actual game) was a reflection of something hiding in the corners of Etihw’s mind (see the Okegom Wikia, a trustable font of information of everything from DSP). The god got damn angry, and sealed Kcalb for centuries. Etihw, after all the disgrace she has passed trough, got depressed, resulting in that emotionless face during the war. Etihw was depressed and lonely for years…
After the Great War, the two got together again, and Etihw got her smileful face back, since she was happy because even Kcalb did all those horrible things, Etihw still loves him. Silhouette’s big grave was still in the garden.
But even so, the two would face a very terrible fate, soon…
Acceptance: Now talking about Silhouette. She encountered Ivlis, who also turned into a bad, vengeful person (fuck you Siralos for banning him just because of a simple doubt, he’ll never be happy again). The girl’s spirit, now called Fate, took advantage of what Ivlis wanted, and she said to him about the Gray World, and he got a glimpse of Kcalb’s past (so he did to Yosafire). Silhouette tells him that Kcalb has a great power that would be sufficient to Ivlis get it (killing him, of course) and then he would do his revenge. Etihw encounters Ivlis and gets sealed. Ivlis destroys the Gray World and kills every citizen of it, including Kcalb. Etihw finally breaks free of her sealment, but it’s too late… She sees Kcalb lying on the ground, dead, and hold his shattered black stone, and remembers all the disgraces of the past, and then she cries, and Etihw finally dies. She finally accepts of her inevitable fate that her daughter cursed, she will never be in peace if she tries to get together with a Devil and be happy, that is not possible.
The three meet in heaven, their daughter is back to normal now that she haves her parents back. The two cries in front of the kid, feeling guilty and sorry. Silhouette forgives them…. The family will be happy forever from now……..
Hey, that was fun.. Did you like my theory? Be sure to like it, and you can even reblog it, see you soon! This is my first theory too. Feel free to comment about it!
That final part looks like a tragic fiction.
